Conscious Breathwork For Adults.

Breathe Together.

While most of the adult classes at Inspired Breathworks focus on Conscious Connected Breathing I started with Conscious (unconnected) Breathing as a stratigy to use with my children. I still use the conscious breathing techniques I learned years ago everyday. Every adult can benefit from taking a deep breath and taking a moment for themselves. This is where conscious breathwork can help. I find it is an especially useful tool to diffuse situations between parents and children and romantic partners. I consider this practice similar to the old adage of “thinking before you speak” except you are “breathing before you speak.”

What to Expect.

Each class will start similarly with geting comfortable in our space and introductions all around. I will explain what technique we are working on that session, give a demonstration, and ask everyone to give it a try. Then I will lead us in a breif meditation and we will start practicing the technique of the evening. Our goal is two fold. First, I want you to get as much relaxation as possible out of our time. We so infrequently get to simply stop and breath that this is an opportunity to truly take “me” time. Second, I want you to leave feeling like you could use this technique at home on your own, with your children, or with whomever you’d like to share this practice. We will also have time for sharing and asking questions after each breathwork session.
